James Vickery - Fly Away Music Review

Runner up from 2012's Open Mic UK James Vickery has released a track called 'Fly Away'.

This acoustic track really shows off his vocals and his guitar playing skills. The young artist has something unique when he sings, he has a kind of twang in his voice which makes him stand out.

James has done really well with 'Fly Away' it is really a tune that would be good to listen on a nice warm spring day (unfortunately the weather isnt the right type!) I cannot wait to hear more from you James, I miss hearing your fab voice!

If you would like to listen to James's song 'Fly Away' it is on his Sound Cloud:

McFly - Love Is On The Radio Review

The McFly boys are back with a bang after celebrating their 10 year anniversary by performing at the Royal Albert Hall back in September, they are releasing another banger of a single: 'Love Is On The Radio'.

The song has such a feel vibe to it that also has a bit of a country western twist, which is a good thing obviously! When you listen to this song, it will instantly get you in a good mood and get your foot tapping along to the catchy tune and the beat.

McFly have always had the talent of being able to tell a great story through the art of song and music. And this song once again proves that even after 10 years of being a band together, they are still as good as they were when they first formed.

'Love Is On The Radio' really exposes the boy's vocals and their harmonies, and they are still just as fabulous in this kind of song compared to some of their other songs which may be more 'rocky'. It just goes to show that they are here to stay and are just as versatile as other bands that are in the music industry/

The single is out on the 22nd November 2013, so get pre ordering, if you cant wait for it to be released, heres the link to the You Tube video:

Random Rampage Mixtape 'A Breath Of Fresh Air' Review

Sean Matica, also known as 'Random Rampage' has dropped his mix tape called 'A Breath of Fresh Air'  He dropped it at the end of May 2013, it already has had 299 views. If you like your true rap, then listen to this mix tape.

With rap music, you normally hear just the basic kind of vocabulary being used in tracks. But with Sean he really goes hard with using big words and making the raps narrative. To me this is something which makes him stand out, as you dont really hear this kind of rapping anymore.

I don't normally like explicit rap, but Sean has converted me into liking it, because of the way he raps about it, it is more of a story, not like he is saying it just to try and be a rapper. But he really is a true rapper, because he experiments with words for his lyrics.

The way he raps also is very good. He has the speeds right perfectly, sometimes he raps really fast and it sounds immense. The way he pronounces words too is also good, because you can understand what he is saying, even if he is rapping fast.

It's like he's ready to go on stage and sell music officially already, just from the way he sounds on this mix tape.

So if you like your rap, give Random Rampage a listen, you won't regret it:

23-year-old Sean Matica, also known as ‘Random Rampage’ is going to be releasing his own clothing line called 'Random Hardwear'.

“It should be in production within the next month.” He said.

The fashion industry is ever-growing, Sean explained why he wanted to become involved in this money making business: “Because I have always wanted to look nice and nothing that is already out there never really appealed to me. There is a lot of money to be made in fashion, if u keep evolving with the new collections and still have a good product, people will never get bored of your product and always want to look good.”

The 23 year old from Surrey is confident that he knows how his clothing line will be unique to others: “It's going to have a Ralph Lauren smart image but it will appeal more to the younger generation. I'm going to be making everything, tops, bottoms, the lot.” He also added: I have now got the embroidery design prices set, so we’re almost there.”

Sean is currently in talks about where the clothing line will be released: “I am currently in conversations with a couple of independent clothes shops at the moment; the clothing line will also be available on Ebay and Gumtree when it is ready. Basically all the normal avenues until I get my website up and running.

Steve Garcia - Will You Or Wont You Review

Steve Garcia and his band have been voted one of the Top 500 Indie Bands on Reverbnation. 2013 started off with a bang, as Steven Garcia is hand picked to compete in the Hard Rock Rising Battle of the Bands competition.

Although he is mostly known for his work with The Rachels out of Houston, TX, Steve Garcia has collaborated with Love Sick Dog Publishing for several singles back in 2012.

'Will You or Wont You' has that chilled out vibe that you get with some indie music. It is one of them songs that you could listen to whilst chilling in the garden, drinking an ice cold cider whilst the sun is shining down, and you are in your place of feeling happy and content.

Even though you can tell from the lyrics it is about loving someone else, and asking what they feel, you can still feel that this can just be a song you can listen to whether you are in that kind of place that the song is talking about or not.

Steve Garcia is one of them lucky artists who has a very unique sounding voice, people comparing him to sounding like Jason Mraz, and his voice goes extremely well with the indie sounds that are produced in his music. This is a song that could be on repeat for me all day!

Loving your sound and your music Steve, cannot wait to hear more!

Alluzeion featuring JaDee - Save Me Single Review

The dynamic duo are back, Alluzeion and JaDee are well and truly smashing it, helping one another with building themselves up to the top and achieving their goals of becoming Hip Hop artists, and 'Save Me' could definitely been listened to as a Hip Hop song!

'Save Me' has that commercial hip hop vibe and sound to it, with the chorus having that addictiveness to it, to get you singing along and dancing. The heavy beats are the kind that will get your head bopping no matter what, and if this tune is whacked up loud, then the bass is definitely going to be the one to get you moving!

Alluzeion has one of them amazingly addictive sounding voices, that definitely suits that commercial sounding Hip Hop song such as 'Save Me', and he has a unique way of singing in his songs and the way he wants to be heard in his music.

Then bringing the mighty JaDee in this song with a rap section definitely gives the song the commercial Hip Hop feel, as this is what happens in current modern music, but these lads have given the Hip Hop genre something fresh and a modern twist and are not a part of the stereotypical Hip-Hop genre at all!

Loving this song, cannot wait to hear more from you guys!

Tempist Fujit - "Here I Am" EP Review

This modern rock duo consists of two powerful musicians who met years earlier in a small town rock band, before getting back together in 2005 to create 'Tempist Fujit,' giving a fresh face and new look to female power vocals and solid guitars.

By mixing various styles with a hard edge it has given these two ladies their own unique sound and place in the Music Industry. The Members are Lisa Walters Vocals & Douglas Gordon Guitars.

This is something you don't come across that often with music, rock and poweful vocals from a woman lead band. Not to sound sexist or anything but its true, people would not normally put rockish sounding music with women, but I am proud that you have got this unique sound and it is certainly something new and fresh!

The EP has definitely got a mixture of vibes from different genres, the rock and pop genres, and the band has managed to keep their stamp on their music, and not fallen into a specific genre! Their music is so good already and cannot wait to hear more!!

New Project Idea for the Amesbury/Salisbury/Wiltshire area!

People who live in the Wiltshire Area:

How would people feel if something was set up, some sort of facility for aspiring artists in Amesbury/Salisbury area so that you can go there and practice your music or if you cannot afford the stuff you can go here and still have a shot at making it because you have the facilities to make songs etc and organize events for them to play gigs at etc.

I believe that if Amesbury thought about getting some sort of venue or place in which musicians could make music and practice to audiences, it would help teenagers stop getting into trouble on the streets.

If you think this would be an effective thing that could keep on going in Amesbury, please contact me if you would like to help get involved with this project.

Hollywood Trash EP Review

Old school sounding 'Hollywood Trash' born and bred in Southampton, apart from one band member born in Texas, have released an EP called 'Sordid N Immoral'. This is a EP to listen when you are really feeling in a heavy rocking out mood!

Their style of music sounds so 'old school' to me, but that is a good thing because some bands aren't able to pull off the 'old school rock' genre of music. This band certainly can pull off that type of genre for sure. The songs on this EP are definite ones you can rock out to whether the band are playing live at a gig or if you are just rocking out in your bedroom.

I don't know if this is just my opinion or if anyone will think the same when they listen to this EP, the first thing that came to my mind when I listened to this band and their style in which the band sings in reminds me of the band 'The Runaways.' If anyone knows who they are, they may get what I mean when they listen to this EP. Don't worry though it is a good thing!

I can see this band being an inspiration to other aspiring bands that are wanting to bring the 'old school' rock style back or giving it a modern twist somehow. But they will have to get advice from these guys as they have done it perfectly!

Loving the EP, cant wait to hear more of what you have to give!

JaDee - Autograph featuring Alluzeion Review

This lad is on fire! JaDee once again has dropped another track known as 'Autograph' featuring his fellow pal Alluzeion.

I love this song. It isn't anything like a stereotypical Hip-Hop song, but it could grow, well with JaDee's fan base I am 100% sure that it will be shared amongst a lot of people! It has a slow pop vibe but the Hip-Hop vibe is still there too, the song has a perfect balance of both vibes!

JaDee has done extremely well with the lyrics of this song, the chorus instantly gets stuck in your head and its easy to sing along, so people will quickly pick up how the song goes, I see what you're doing JaDee! The beats throughout the song are ones that you can chill out too, what real Hip-Hop and Pop songs do, even if they are songs you can sing along to, they should be able to keep you chilled out etc.

This song has some form of emotional feeling behind it, you can feel it from the lyrics: "I  don't believe in fairy tales, but I do when I am with you." "I need you like I need this music."

I think JaDee is going to be a favourite Hip-Hop star of mine, he knows what true Hip-Hop music is all about and doesn't follow this stereotypical stuff, well done again JaDee, loving your tunes, as always

'Autograph' is out right now!

Robynne Calvert - You Dont Have To Review

This is one song to listen to for amazingly crisp acoustic guitar playing, and very good harmonies. Robynne Calvert has amazing guitar playing skills in her song "You Don't Have To."

"You Don't Have To" is a song that displays raw talent by Robynne. The song is based purely on acoustic guitar and raw vocals and harmonies, which all gel so well together. Robynne has a young sounding voice, some people might take this in a bad way, but it will help her in the long run for sure!

I love the fact this song is so simple but yet so good! I could listen to her voice and guitar playing quite a lot! It all just goes so well together, obviously Robynne knows what she is doing! Well, you can guess that from her amazing vocals and awesome guitar playing!

I cant wait to hear more of your stuff if it is anything like "You Don't Have To."

Charlie Brown - On My Way (Out 24th March)

I first heard this on Kiss FM UK. And now I cannot stop listening to it. I love this song. This is the song I've been needing to find to listen to recently due to stress and confidence levels, but when I listen to this song, it instantly makes me think about myself, and the fact I am on my way to doing what I want!

London boy Charlie Brown is well on his way to smashing his dream of becoming a well known artist. Just from this one song 'On My Way' which is released on 24th March, I can tell he will have a brilliant future, if he keeps making amazing tunes like this song.

The song is one of them songs that instantly uplifts you if you feel low or if you have been knocked down recently, whether its coursework getting piled high, finding jobs etc. This song will definitely make you think differently and make you think differently about things. Well it has done for me, so thank you Charlie Brown.

McKay - Livin' Like This

McKay - 'Livin' Like This' is a song that I found when I was in the mood for researching for new music, and I found then through Twitter! (My trusted source for finding amazing music!

This song, I love the vocals in this song. They are just wow. Especially the harmonizing throughout. And in the chorus, that harmonizing is just immense! Oh my god. I love it so much! It's one of them love type/country feel type songs, but that doesn't stop me playing it constantly on my iTunes!

I love the lyrics too, you can really feel the meaning behind them, and the vocals just put extra meaning into them also! I love it so much! I even sing along sometimes!

I want to hear more McKay!

Kayleigh Phillips - 'Paris' EP Review

Kayleigh Phillips is an aspiring artist that I have been following her progress since the summer when I started doing research for my final major project for university, and decided I wanted to get into working with aspiring arists. And to see her bring out her single 'Paris' and to see her grow as an artist with her fan base growing even more, makes me so happy, this is what I love about young artists, watching them grow and become what they've always wanted.

Kayleigh has a really lovely voice, she definitely can do pop type songs as well as her acoustic music she does too. Showing she can put her voice to anything! 'Paris' is a good song to just chill out to. it has the right type of beats and melody for the song, so Kayleigh has chosen and done this song well!

Cannot wait to hear more from you in the future!

The Milk - (All I Wanted Was) Danger Single Review

I was just looking for some new music to listen to when I came across this song. I listened to the preview and I instantly fell in love with it. This is what happens when you are looking for new music and you come across random new music such as The Milk!

This is such a happy song, even if it is about wanting some danger in your life. The lyrics are absolutely amazing, and even if they are telling a story about getting up and going and wanting some excitement in their life, it sounds a happy and chirpy song because of the melody of the song is just one of them songs that would instantly get you in a happy mood and in a dancing mood, my head is bopping along whilst I am writing this!

"If life is a bullet, you better get up and bite it." - My favourite line in the whole song. Sums up the song in one line. I freaking love it, it just instantly gets me in a good mood, the trumpets at the start with the drum have gotton into my ears, taking over my head as it starts bopping along to the singer's vocals.

I love the arrangement of the song. It has a mixture of genre elements, it kind of reminds me of something you would hear back in the 60s/70s, and then the drum beats and guitar skills give it a modern twist, as well as the singer's vocals and the tone to his voice. Then there's the choir to give it some power as backing vocals! It just has everything you want from such a happy song!

I definitely recommend you download this song - Its so good, and will get you in a good mood within the first minute of the song!

The Milk - (All I Wanted Was) Danger - check it out people!

Lasko Ft Jimmy Snookz - The Neighbourhood Review

'Lasko Ft Jimmy Snookz - The Neighbourhood' is a new song rapped by upcoming Lasko aged 24 from North London, another good rapper that is battling to get themselves out there to achieve their dream of wanting to become a Hip-Hop Star.

Normally I would not be interested in reviewing this type of song because it is about a depressing topic, but listening to the way Lasko raps and puts meaning behind what he is rapping about made me be able to listen to the song in full.

This song made me think that it maybe could maybe be used with campaigning about youth crime, knife crime, campaigning that it’s not all just young people, but this kind of music to me is a 50/50 thing. Sometimes it can blow me away and I can love it because of how good the person is at rapping, but it’s just the topics that sometimes throw me from liking rap music.

I am still looking for that rapper or Hip-Hop star that blows me away with rapping about something completely different to all the negative stuff that is normally stereotyped around rap music. I need to find that one person that can rap about positive topics, not just about bad times but good times.

The only person that I have found that may relate to this is JaDee.

I do like Lasko's song and it's really good - if you are looking to go down the stereotypical rapper genre route.

Some people may think different to me, here's the link to Lasko's video:
